I'm trying to get UoA back up and running under NWN:EE...

All the necessary haks files are available in the download section.

I hope to have NWNEE NWSync working shortly, in which case you won't need to download haks, but for now the (rather old) haks are available.

Be sure to check out the crafting page so you know what you are looking for and what you can craft!

The game world is a random grid of areas, using templates, with some randomly placed set of cities and other points of interest. You can craft items, build homes and Guild Halls, factories, even Airshiups and Spaceships! Hopefully I can clearly spell out the features The Rack put into this module.

I'm happy to share all of this, as I am not the original author, but you might want to wait until I clean things up and update them further. If you want to HELP me, please click my name above to send me an email. I was attempting to update these pages and maps of the world taken from the SQL DB, but I am hitting issues. I'm not much of a programmer, and not familiar with PHP.

Otherwise, feel free to ask questions about the module!

 

 

12.08.2011 : UOA server closed   by TheRack

We have to announce that the official UOA server is now closed, due to lack of players !

All the necessary files to play or host the UOA world are now available in the download section. Be sure to read the instructions to set up a server. We would be pleased to know if another server is set up with the UOA system.

22.10.2010 : Beta-testing running   by TheRack

The beta-test of the server is going well, a lot of bugs have already been fixed, and more and more things become interesting ! A few players have already discovered a part of the first system and built some structures. We are still waiting for more players to join the new UOA community.

The screenshots section has been updated, with new images from the server.

 

18.09.2010 : The server is up !!!   by TheRack

Finally, after weeks of researches, I have found a server for the first UOA module, still in beta testing.

This server is open to all players who want to test and enjoy the new unlimited Nwn server. Visit the pages of this website and the forum, then come in !

 

08.08.2010 : The server will be up soon   by TheRack

I have finally found a hoster for the first UOA server but I still need to prepare and install it properly. If the hoster can run all what UOA needs without problem, the server may be open in 2 or 3 weeks.

Advertising will be done when the server is up.

 

30.05.2010 : The alpha testing has begun   by TheRack

Now is time for some news. I have started to test the world and the system since a few weeks, slowly because of lack of time. All I can say is that the solo-modus playing already brings a lot of fun. A lot of bugs have already been corrected and everything seems to work quite fine. The mutliplayer and the DM modus should increase the fun even more.

I am now looking forward to find or to build up a computer to host the first UOA server and open it for beta testing.

PS : the Arland map has been updated with the actual map I'm playing on my local server. Check it to see the result after weeks of playing...

 

09.02.2010 : THE MODULE IS FINISHED !!!   by TheRack

After a HUUUGE amount of work, more than 12 hours of work 7 days the week since 3 months, after hours of scripting, modeling and testing, I have the pleasure to announce that everything is ready for the first alpha testings. I will do these tests and already correct all that could be improved. Further beta testing will be announced.

In the meanwhile, this site has been updated with new stuff. Check the screenshots section for new shots, especially from the planets and from space. Check the domains section, too. At the "factory" is a scheme of what can be done with the domain factory. Finally, check all the other sections for a quick overview.

When the module is ready for beta testing, everybody will be told.

PS : don't forget to enter the word "dm" in the DM area field to see the planets maps !

 

10.01.2010 : A new year begins, and a new world appears   by TheRack

First of all, I wish the NeverWinter Nights community an happy new year, hoping that the players will continue to enjoy this brillant game.

I worked very hard in the last months and I am proud to say that most of the main features have been built and that I am only a few days or weeks away from my first alpha testing phases. Of course, there is still a lot to do, but all the main cores of the system are now running good. What still has to be done are :

- Players feats
- Missing interests (castles, ruins, animal reserves, resources mountains, amusement places, domains)
- Players domains & structures
- Other minor improvements & additions

But those aspects are not essential to play in UOA. And as they will take huge time to be developed (quite the same as until now), they will be built very progressively and quietly. But they will make the journeys in UOA even more interesting. So they are important.

Beta testing will be possible in a few weeks !

 

20.11.2009 : Huge improvements and... first screenshots   by TheRack

I have worked really hard to stabilise the ground system and to make any future implementation easier. Now I am able to present this new website which is already interactive as well as the other sections and the first screenshots of the Arlandia module.

Check the other sections to see details about Arlandia. Then have a look at the right menu (Dynamics maps). You can visit the planets, for example Arland, but you'll only see the areas that have been discovered. But this website has a special tool for the DMs : the DM area. Enter the word "dm" inside to connect yourself as a DM. Then have a look again at the planets. You'll see them totally discovered, even if the players still didn't discover some parts of them.

All the informations about the planets come from a exemple database.

25.10.2009 : Interests, domains, races   by TheRack

In the last weeks we have worked (a bit) on features like interest points (dungeons, towers, towns, etc.) that are generated randomly on the planets (everything is customisable), on the player domains, real activity centers players can build for their economic, social and military activities, and on other playable races like goblins, ogres, orcs, minotaurs and even trolls !

Next time we'll try to post some screenshots of the first tiles.

 

17.07.2009 : First star system built   by TheRack

The design of the module is progressing slowly because of lack of time. But the project is still living for the future. To give players envy to try this module, the first star system has been discovered totally by the Arlandia spies. Now we know there are 11 planets and 8 moons in the Meth system.

 

29.05.2009 : Website launch   by TheRack

The website of the new world "Universe of Arlandia" has been launched. The updates will be shown on this site as well as the progress in the module design.

The "Universe of Arlandia" will be a rich and unlimited module/persistent server/world for Neverwinter Nights. No size restriction, the universe is infinite !
